While may vary by the individual since it often depends on a person’s physical health, the nature of the job , and their financial situation, research shows that it’s going to become increasingly common to work past retirement age. Women or men, age discrimination is likely an issue that’s only going to get worse, as baby boomers plan on working into their later years. Workers in their 50s are no longer at the downslope of their careers. Recent research supports the notion that older people can work beyond traditional retirement ages.
For example, one recent survey showed that more than three-fourths (percent).
