Greeting card submissions

Greeting Card Companies that Accept Submissions. Your words get to be front and center in meaningful parts of people’s lives. The following is a list of publishers that accept submissions of greeting cards. Writing greeting card verse is a great way to complement your other gigs.

Both humorous and serious concepts are welcome. Typography and “words as art” are also needed. This site welcomes greeting card art submissions.


While not much detail is provided on the website, you can contact them at their provided contact page for more information. DaySpring primarily deals with Christian and Spirituality themed cards. Make sure you review their offerings before you start submitting your materials.


In most cases, the amount is anywhere from $up to $3per approved submission. How selective are the greeting card companies? If you send us your work via mail, it will not be reviewed or returned.

We review submissions intermittently throughout the year, so please be patient. We do reply to every submission , but receive work from thousands of artists. Detailed info on how to submit and sell your work to greeting card markets.

So, if you want to make money witting greeting cards for Hallmark, you will probably have to move to Kansas City, Mo.

Full color inside greeting designs are a major plus! Labeling your files with your name is super helpful while we’re sorting through submissions. DESIGN GUIDELINES: Examples of things we love: clever takes on classic concepts, lighthearted humor, inspiring quotes or mantras. To submit creative ideas to Hallmark you must either apply as a prospective employee, or enter one of the ongoing monthly greeting cards contests in which the winner receives a cash prize and publication. Otherwise, the Hallmark corporation does not accept unsolicited submissions.


If you have a concept (idea for the image) for the copy, please include it. Copy that is accompanied by a concept image has the best chance of being accepted than one without. Hallmark does not accept or purchase unsolicited submissions of ideas, artwork, photography, or writing for our greeting card or Gift Books lines. Please feel free to submit those ideas to other greeting card companies.


Because we are a very small card company and get lots of ideas submitted to us every week, as much as we would like to we don’t have the staff to respond to everyone who sends in ideas. Exclusivity requirements do not apply to seasonal stationery products such as holiday cards and calendars. Due to the high volume of submissions , we are currently unable to respond with regrets for product submissions ( greeting cards , shop updates, etc.).
