Face to face decklists

Trials – We will be working with local stores to bring back FacetoFaceGames. This will give players the opportunity to earn free entry and a 1-round bye to their local FacetoFaceGames. Face to Face Games Toronto played host to a Modern Regional Pro Tour Qualifier last weekend. Alex Bianchi – UR Kiln Fiend. Eduardo Sajgalik and Mathew Stein clinched their invite with Bant Eldrazi while Vincent Thibeault managed to continue his strong run with his Eldrazi Tron deck with another successful tournament. Rounding out the top we have Robert Buck who piloted Affinity.

He is also the reigning defending Arena Super Cup champion. Decklists , Fusion Gaming, MTG Arena, Standard Time to head back to Dominaria to see if these new recruits can learn a thing or two about Knighthood. I play bearer of silence instead of reshaper, but will look to test it now.

The next morning I went over to Face to Face for the waffle breakfast and got to hang out with some of my fellow judges, we did a really fun Amonkhet draft that I managed to get to the finals of! I played some super fun games of commander, we did three legendary Pokemon raids (I got a Lugia and an Articuno!) And overall we had a really good time. As this was the first modern event that Face to Face has hosted in Thunder Bay, and only their second event in this city (a follow up to the successful Mana Deprived series of a year ago), many people, players and judges alike, were greatly looking forward to it.

This deck always plays the beatdown role. Even when facing other aggro decks I think this deck takes the role of beatdown. You will run out of gas and cards if you try to trade. Soulfire goes to face to close out games. These events are (mostly) competitive REL 1k events.


We are looking for judge per week to assist with each of our events for the month of November. Keep in mind you’re likely to find yourself face-to-face with Anti-Spell Fragrance’s ugly mug in games and 3. Board into cards that remove it from the fiel like Dinowrestler Pankratops, but remember you’ll need a way to bait Salamangreat Roar before showing that smug pot who’s boss. Aside from the missed investigation that still bothers me even a week after the conclusion of the event, Thunder Bay’s first Face to Face Open went well over all with a skill-filled top and a thriller of a final, with the eventual champion starting a game down, having forgot to de-sideboard before the match.
