The outdoor festival will feature three stages with pop-up stalls sprawled all over the venue. There will be live taekwondo demonstrations, band performances, a singing contest, traditional craft workshops and more.

Expect food trucks and pop-up stalls serving fried chicken, chips on a stick, savoury dumplings and glass-noodle stir-fry. The parkland was designed using. This year with More Colour, More Culture, More Performances, More Vibrancy, More fun and More Food Variety.


The food stalls were doing a brisk trade in traditional Korean dishes with both Asian and non Asian customers. This park is adjacent to Darling Harbour and used as a venue for celebrations and important events in Sydney. It is also basically a children’s playground that contains water jets, swings and slides.


The Chinese New Year Lantern Festival has established itself as one of the premiere events for engagement with both the top levels of the Chinese business community as well as the wider cultural and Chinese speaking community across Sydney. There’s always something on at tumbalong park and it’s had some decent renovations to the kids park offering. It’s relaxing for adults and kids can enjoy the playground.


Plenty of places around the outside to eat and enjoy. With two days of non-stop entertainment including live music from local and international musicians, dancing performances and much more, this is an event not to be missed if you are in Sydney.
