Ribbon on christmas tree tutorial

This easy-to-follow tutorial will help you get your holiday show on the road. On the agenda: ribbon and filler ornaments. In this video I will describe and show you the technique I created to get. Using a straight pin, I pinned the first loop of polka dot ribbon onto the bottom of the Styrofoam tree. Following the tree all the way aroun I lined up each ribbon , side by side to complete my first row.


I hope both of these tutorials are useful if you decide to add ribbon to your tree this year or in the future.

It’s really easy to make by threading the beads or pearls with lace, you can check the tutorial via the link HERE. If desire melt the edges of the ribbons with a match so the ribbon doesn’t fray. Hot glue or tie a loop of twine to the top of the tree. If desire top the tree with a wooden star, yellow button, or primitive metal star.

My first project is a little ornament that can be used as a decoration on your own tree or a thoughtful handmade. In the past I had always used ribbon as garland and strung it around and around. The crisscrossed ribbon creates a very full and densely decorated appearance for a lavish, designer look. This idea works well with both expensive and inexpensive trees. I don’t have enough patience to actually measure each and every piece! Plus, these trees are very forgiving of minor ribbon “inaccuracies”. Step – Pin Ribbon to Trees.


Next, you’ll make a loop with each individual ribbon piece and pin it to the styrofoam tree form in rows. Pin it at the top of the ribbon in the middle of your loop.
