Sopwith camel

It was developed by the Sopwith Aviation Company as a successor to the earlier Sopwith Pup and became one of the best known fighter aircraft of the Great War. Royal Flying Corps Sopwith F. The Camel was a challenging plane to pilot, for two reasons. Firstly, the controls were very sensitive by the standards of the time. During World War I, Camels downed 2enemy aircraft, which was more than any other Allied fighter.


Wide variations can been found in terms of total production numbers.

This detailed replica of one of the most recognizable British single-seat biplanes ever to have graced the skies. Amid the continuous struggle for aerial superiority during World War two aircraft types were at the forefront. An agile, highly maneuverable biplane, the Sopwith F. Camel accounted for more aerial victories than any other Allied aircraft during World War I. Credited with destroying 2enemy aircraft, it was called the Camel due to the humped fairing over its twin machine guns.


The opening act was a black Labrador named Pot Pan.
