Fuzhou is the capital and one of the largest cities in. Located in Mawei New Town , facing the Minjiang River , the Strait Culture and Arts Centre functions as a connective device. It connects cities and communities along and over the Taiwan Strait. An finally, it connects people to culture.

Designed by the Finnish design master Pekka Salminen, the project covers an area of about 150square meters ( the floorage of the basement is about 50square meters). Upon completion, it will become an international landmark building of Fuzhou , which is a cultural and historical city with a history of more than 2years. The large complex is divided into five smaller units which are conceived as the petals of a jasmine.
