Can a woman over 50 wear ripped jeans

The ripped jean trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon. Yet, it can be a real thorn in the side of the over crowd. So many of the fashionable looks expose knees and other areas that we don’t feel are age-appropriate. How to wear this lasting trend while still keeping our over dignity.


When you want jeans with a dressy or edgy look, choose black — not blue.

You can wear them monochromatically in head-to-toe black, pair them with glam flats and a flowing blouse — like Robin Wright, a sequin top or cold-shoulder sweater for an evening out, or throw on a leather biker jacket and your moto booties for a fierce finish. Struggling with how to wear jeans after ? The Budget Fashionista has ! I’m a huge fan of ripped jeans to, I’m almost in my mid thirties, and wondering for how long I can continue to wear them.

I liked your honesty at the en but I thought they looked great on you. I really adored your jacket – I think the trick is to balance them with a smart piece on top perhaps. As a 50-year-old woman, I’m not ready to give up my fashionable clothes quite yet.


I think that if you look good in a certain style, you should be able to wear it. Now, I’m not advocating crop tops and Daisy Duke shorts as a good fashion statement for anyone. Regardless of how you wear them, they’re bound to make your legs look longer and leaner so don’t be afraid to rock skinny jeans – because they’re not just for “skinny” girls. It’s lighter than mine, but I put red in mine all the time, or the hairdresser does, lol.


That’s not all I own, but I wear both shorts and jeans distressed. I don’t care that as a woman well over forty I’m not supposed to wear distressed jeans anymore. Desperate, trying too har ridiculous, sloppy”…you name it, distressed jeans provoke some serious commentary from the forty plus community.
