After the U-shoot down, the wreckage was examined by Soviet aviation specialists. One more production Be-200ES amphibious aircraft (307), built by Beriev PJSC, is given to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The Be - 1is currently manufactured at Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the Russian Far East by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association (KNAAPO in its Russian acronym). This is a succesful beriev design that will be build also in the US. I remember a long time ago a glowing article in AOPA Pilot that basically declared the Be 1to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. The market reception instead seems to have been kazoo noise. Important success is achieved - so we can characterize the result of the tour of our Be-200. Version of the panel is pretty much left to my imagination. It will have a wingspan and should function off water. The gear plus most of the parts weigh 2oz, and my total weight should be less than 3. The basic configuration of the Be -2amphibious aircraft is indended for fighting the forest fires using the fire extinguishant fluids.
