I loosely followed this recipe in that I used parsnips and I boiled them. I used about parnsips and carrots that needed using in the fridge - boiled for about 15mins, then mashed with butter, salt and pepper - delicious. While researching my carrot and parsnip mash , I came across an interesting root vegetables and mustard mash from the BBC.


While I understand that the use of mustard is intended to spice up a vegetable mash , I just don’t see the flavours marrying together so well.
